Semaglutide, also known by its brand name Wegovy or Ozempic, is an FDA-approved once-weekly subcutaneous (under the skin) diet weight loss injection. Patients can choose to receive semaglutide for a one (1) week trial including B12 and lipotropic shot. There is the option for a 4, 8, and 12 weeks dose. Please be advised that semaglutide is dose-dependent upon the duration of use; meaning the longer you use it, the higher your dose will be; up to 2 mg/week. Patients who have a history or diagnosis of medullary thyroid cancer or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN II) are not eligible to receive semaglutide.
